Proper transportation and application of high-power graphite
For many users, there are many details to pay attention to when purchasing high-power graphite electrodes. Moreover, these details will be directly related to the application effect of high power graphite electrodes.
When transporting high-power graphite electrodes, in order not to be affected by the weather, it needs to be covered with a rainproof tarpaulin. When using a forklift to transport high-power graphite electrodes, extra care must be taken to prevent collisions. Only one layer is allowed at a time, and care should be taken to balance the centering to prevent slipping and breaking. When loading and unloading with a crane, a steel wire rope must be used separately, and the steel packing tape of the electrode must not be directly hung.
After receiving the high-power graphite electrode, the user should store it in a clean and dry place if it is temporarily unused. It must be covered with a rainproof cloth when it is placed in the open field. When using high-power graphite electrodes, place them in front of an electric furnace for drying in advance, the temperature should not exceed 150 degrees, and the time should not be less than 24 hours. When in use, the ladle belt should be cut off with special tools, and it must not be pulled off with a crane.
In addition, special care is needed when applying and installing high-power graphite electrodes. When installing the joint, clean the hole with compressed air, and then screw the joint carefully in so as not to damage the threads. When connecting high-power graphite electrodes, clean the two surfaces with compressed air when the two electrodes are separated by 20-30mm. When using a wrench to connect the graphite electrode, it should be fully tightened to the specified torque. To prevent the graphite electrode from being broken, please take out the insulating block in the furnace, place the large block on the lower part, and install the small block on the upper part. For the connection of the electrode, clean the thread of the electrode, carefully screw the connector into one end of the electrode, and screw the hoisting connector into the other end of the electrode. Do not hit the screw. It is not recommended to directly install the connector into the electrode being used on the furnace.
